Harper & Brothers, Publishers, New York, 1851. First Edition. FIRST BINDING, with the publisher's circular device blindstamped on the front and back board. Publisher's original red cloth with gilt-stamped spine, expertly rebacked with the loss only of a little of the decorative rule at the spine tips. There are a few light residual creases to the cloth on the spine, and a faint, semi-circular dampstain on the front board. Internally, the name R. G. Stockbridge is twice stamped in ink on the front free endpaper and there is some scattered foxing, mostly light, a little heavier on the flyleaves and preliminaries. Complete with the original brown-orange endpapers, the six pages of terminal publisher's ads, a terminal blank, and double flyleaves at both the front and back. A bright, Very Good copy in the appealing red cloth binding.

To receive a re-fund for any Lakeside Classic Books.com purchase with which you are not satisfied, you must return the item to the address listed below. We recommend that you re-wrap the item in its original packaging for return shipment. Please include the packing slip and indicate the reason for return for fastest processing and shipping re-fund, if applicable. We will send you an e-mail to notify you of your re-fund once we have received and processed the returned item. You can expect a re-fund in a check form within two to three weeks from our receipt of your return. Please note that we will re-fund shipping costs only if the return is a result of our error.
Late Returns:
Returns shipped more than 10 days after you receive an item will be subject to a 15% re-stocking fee. U.S. Returns (shipped to any U.S. address, via any method): Please re-wrap the item in its original packaging and ship to us via USPS Media mail.
