First Edition. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. vii, pp207, green cloth boards with gilt lettering on spine, gilt ruling and book emblem on front board, very slight shelf wear, corners gently rubbed, slight rubbing to head and heal of spine, t.e.g., pages untrimmed, frontis with tissue guard, very tip of corner of tissue to frontis creased as well as the tip of the corner to the title page, pages untrimmed, t.e.g., internally clean and bright.

Patriotic Classics - Reilly & Britton Co., Chicago, 1906. In very good original dark green cloth and gilt type covers with gilt frontis, no dj, published in response to the favorable reception to the Lakeside Classic edition, it is described as the Patriotic Classic, the colophon at verso of text states "printed by R. R. Donnelley and Sons at the Lakeside Press", 264 pgs., 12mo.

Slight water spottin gon lower front cover (see picture). Inside is clean, previous owners paste down on inside front cover.
