Listed below you will find our book grading scale. 

1 = BINDING COPY: A book in which the text block, including illustrations, is complete but the binding is lacking, or in such poor condition it is beyond realistic restoration efforts.

2 = EX-LIBRARY: A book that once belong to a library showing library markings.

3 = READER COPY: A book that is sufficiently worn that its only merit is the complete text, which must be legible. 

4 = FAIR: A worn book that has complete text pages (including those with maps or plates) but may lack endpapers, half-title page, etc.

5 = GOOD: The average used book that is totally complete (as issued) and intact. Usually has defects that are noticeable and bigger in size.

6 = VERY GOOD: A book showing some signs of wear and age.

7 = VERY GOOD+: A book showing some signs of wear and age. Almost a Collectors copy.

8 = COLLECTORS COPY: A book approaching FINE (or AS NEW or MINT) but with a couple of very minor defects or faults. It's condition is that to add to a collection.

9 = NEAR FINE: A book approaching FINE (or AS NEW or MINT) but with a couple of very minor defects or faults.

10 = AS NEW; FINE; MINT: Without faults, defects or still in original wrapper/package.
