Black Letter Press (reprint of Lakeside Press Classic), Grand Rapids, MI, 1981. Hard Cover. Book Condition: As New. Reprint. This is a very nice reprint of a scarce and expensive Lakeside Classic. Gurdon Saltonstall Hubbard (1802 - 1886) was a figure in the Great Lakes fur trade and later a prominent Chicago resident. Except for a few early pages, the period covered by the "Autobiography" is his fur trade years (1818 - 1830). On the other hand, much of Miss McIlvine's Introduction pertains to his life in Chicago after 1830. xxvii (Introduction) + 182 pages ("Autobiography"). Bound in blue cloth with black lettering. The Lakeside Classic is listed in "Wright-Howes: The Final Edition.
